The country with the second-highest number of TikTok users is Indonesia. The most populous country in Southeast Asia has 126.8 million TikTok users. Despite a temporary ban in 2018 by the government, the social media app remains extremely popular among Indonesians.
Third on the list ranking TikTok users by country is Brazil, with 98.6 million TikTokers located there. This is followed by Mexico, with around 74.2 million TikTok users. In fact, TikTok was Latin America’s fastest-growing social media platform in 2023. According to reports, the number of TikTok users in the region grew by 11.8% last year.
Rounding out the top five countries where TikTok users are located is Vietnam, home to 67.7 million users. This is followed by Russia, with 58.6 million TikTok users. TikTok is the fifth-most-popular social media app there, behind VK, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Odnoklassniki.
