Top online shopping websites in March 2024
In terms of top ecommerce sites by visitors, AliExpress.com, China’s online retail store sits comfortably in first place. According to the latest figures, the number of visits to the world’s top online shopping website surpassed 1.1 billion in March 2024. It is also the only online shopping site on this top 10 list with over one billion visits in March 2024.
Second on this list ranking top ecommerce sites by visitors is eBay.com. The site received 901.1 million visits and registered the second-highest number of pages per session out of the top 10, with 5.11.
Amazon.in, Amazon’s dedicated and localized page for its users in India, is third, with 730 million visits. This is followed by Samsung.com, with 674.2 million visits. Despite its high number of monthly visits, the bounce rate of Samsung.com was relatively high, at 67.38%. In other words, around two out of every three visitors landing on Samsung’s website left after visiting just one page. It also had the lowest number of pages visited per session of the top 10 ecommerce sites. Users on samsung.com viewed an average of 2.23 pages before leaving.
Amazon.de rounds out the five most visited ecommerce websites, with a monthly traffic of 584.3 million in March 2024. Together, these five largest online retailers registered more than four billion visits, which made up 63.8% of the total number of monthly visits to the top 10 online shopping websites in March 2024.
Sixth on the list of the top 10 ecommerce websites in the world is Etsy.com, with 558.3 million visits. Another Amazon site, Amazon.co.uk, ranks next. In March 2024, Amazon’s site for residents in the United Kingdom received 517 million visits.
Walmart.com is also among the top ecommerce sites, receiving 475.8 million visits. Ozon.ru and MercadoLivre.com.br complete the top 10 online shopping sites. They received 411.6 million and 345.4 million visits, respectively.
Ozon.ru deserves a special mention—at 41.83%, its bounce rate was the lowest on this list of the top 10 online shopping sites. Its average number of pages visited per session of 6.16 was also the highest.
